Application process

Thinking of applying to Staatsolie? Here’s how to find a vacancy, submit your application and follow the selection process, from your first step in the Job Database to your first day at work.

Getting started

Find a vacancy that suits you

All current vacancies are listed in our Job Database. Create a free account, complete your profile and apply directly to a role that fits your skills and experience. You can track your application through your account. If there is no suitable vacancy, you can upload your CV and set up job alerts. You will still need to apply separately when a vacancy opens.

What happens after you apply?

1. Confirmation
After you submit your application through the Staatsolie Job Database, you will receive a confirmation email. You can also track your application status through your account.

2. Application review
Once the vacancy closes, our HR team reviews applications against the requirements of the role. We look at qualifications, relevant experience, skills and motivation.

3. Interviews and assessment
If you are shortlisted, we will invite you to an interview. Some roles involve more than one interview or an assessment. This is also your chance to ask questions about the role and working at Staatsolie.

4. Offer
If you are selected, you will receive a formal offer outlining your salary, benefits and other employment conditions.

5. Medical examination
Before you can start work, you must complete a medical examination with an approved physician. This applies to all positions.

6. Contract and onboarding
After you accept the offer and receive medical clearance, we will arrange your contract, onboarding and induction to help you get started at Staatsolie.

Candidates who are not selected will receive an email update. Candidates who have been interviewed will be informed individually of the final outcome.
